The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Proof of property ownership, proof of earnings or savings. Proof of rent payment from previous landlords.

  • To Establish suitability for a new tenancy and/or to act as a guarantor.

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Land registry for property ownership, references from previous landlords, income information from employers, right to reside proof.

We use the information that you have given us in order to assess suitability to enter into a tenancy or act as a guarantor.

We may share this information with other joint tenants or guarantors from a joint tenancy, utility suppliers, council tax office, internet suppliers, university representatives, private sector housing at the local authority, right to reside authorities.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
