I have been away/unable to return the documents within 7 days – what do I do?

If it has been less than 14 days, please contact us (by email, phone or text) to let us know you have received the documents and will be returning them within the next 7 days. As long as we know that you will be returning the documents within 7 days, we can make a note on the system for the referencing team.

If it has been more than 14 days since we sent the documentation out to you and we still haven’t received any documents or communication back from you, then the referencing team will put a red flag against your application. They will assume that you do not wish to proceed. In this instance the referencing will fail and the house will be put back on the market.
